Terms of Service

Kenara is operated by [LEGAL NAME], [ADDRESS](“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Kenara, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the service.

Kenara is for businesses. You need to be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract, and if you're agreeing on behalf of a business, you need the authority to do that.

You must own or be authorised to manage the Google Business Profile you connect. Connecting a listing that isn't yours to manage is grounds for us closing the account.

Kenara reads the reviews on the Google Business Profile you connect and prepares a draft reply to each one, in the voice you set up. You review the drafts, edit them however you like, and approve the ones you want published.

Nothing is published to your Google listing unless you have approved the exact wording. That is a rule the product is built around, not a setting that might change one day without telling you.

You sign in with Google, so keeping your Google account secure is what keeps your Kenara account secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account, and for the replies you approve.

You can disconnect your Google account or ask us to delete everything at any time. See the privacy policy for what deletion removes.

Your reviews and the replies you publish are yours. We don't claim ownership of them. We use them to run the service for you — drafting replies, showing you your queue, and improving how well the drafts match your voice.

The drafts we generate are yours to use, edit, or ignore. Once you approve and publish a reply, it is a public statement from your business, and you are responsible for it — which is exactly why we ask you to read it first.

Replies are generated automatically and can be wrong. They may misread a situation, miss something important, or word something in a way you wouldn't. That is why every one is presented for you to check rather than sent on your behalf.

You are responsible for reading a reply before approving it. We are not responsible for the consequences of a reply you approved, and we would rather you edited ten of them than published one you hadn't read.

Please don't use Kenara to:

Write or solicit fake reviews. Publish anything unlawful, harassing, or deliberately misleading. Impersonate someone else, or manage a listing you have no right to. Attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service. Resell it to other businesses without our agreement.

You also need to keep to Google's own terms and review policies for your Business Profile. Kenara doesn't override them.

Kenara is currently free while we work with a small number of businesses to get it right. There is no charge and no card on file.

If we start charging, we will tell you before it applies to you, and you will be able to stop using the service instead. We will not put an existing account onto a paid plan without asking.

Kenara is early software. It may be unavailable, slow, or briefly broken, and we may change or remove features while we work out what businesses actually need.

It also depends on services we don't control — Google's APIs in particular. If Google changes or restricts access, parts of Kenara may stop working through no action of ours.

We provide the service “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce any particular result for your business.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business, lost data, or damage to reputation arising from your use of Kenara.

Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars. While Kenara is free, that means one hundred dollars.

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You can stop using Kenara whenever you like, disconnect your Google account, and ask us to delete your data. No notice, no exit fee, no conversation required.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that puts other people at risk, or that we're required to close. If we do it for anything other than a serious breach, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to get your data first.

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. If a change materially affects you — pricing, or what we do with your data — we'll email you rather than hope you notice.

These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE / JURISDICTION], without regard to its conflict of law rules, and any dispute will be handled in the courts there.
